The Validation

Hannah Vale arrived in Vael from the lower districts and forced the Academy to recognize her. Now she is in exile on Theron, watching convoys of teachers, physicians, and harbor clerks file through the eastern gate with the stunned expressions of people whose lives have been reorganized by paperwork.

The Regent's declaration system has spread. The bronze mark of the true God hangs where the Council seal once did. The Alliance is reorganizing itself into categories, and the Sisterhood of Theron — precise, patient, and deeply prepared — is building something in response. Hannah is part of it, learning what she is capable of in a world that has become considerably more dangerous than the one she passed her entrance examination in.

Kael is still reading. Mira is still watching. And beneath the formal proceedings, the military movements, and the arguments that actually work, the older questions remain: what the Circle inherited, what it forgot, and what the manuscript was only beginning to uncover.

The Validation is the second book of The Circle Series.
