Publisher Description
Imagine yourself in a land far away,
Where soldiers will march and children will play.
A dreamland it is, with stories galore,
So famous I’m sure that you’ve heard some before.
A Humpty, a Bo Peep, Five Little Pigs, too,
There’s a Jack and a Jill and a Little Boy Blue.
From dawn until dusk, this land’s made for fun,
To sing and to rhyme, to dance and to run.
So come, sit awhile, find a friend, take some time,
To open the pages of The Valley of Rhyme.
The Valley of Rhyme was illustrated in 1995 by British illustrator Adam Parsons.

Mother Goose has never been so beautiful
I have this book In its hard back version as well as the poster. It is truly a work of art, not just a child's book of nursery rhymes. I remember my grandmother reading Mother Goose to me when I was a child. It was one of the very first books I learned to read. The world has changed but Mother Goose is still Mother Goose and this is a new way to share it with your kids and your grand kids. But do yourself a favor buy the hard back version too, you will love it and pass it on for generations. Adam Parsons may be one of the most gifted illustrators I have ever seen.
Nursery rhymes perfectly paired with art crafting a time gone
If you loved the illustrations of Beatrix Potter then you will want this book. The art captures a curious and whimisical world that children of all ages can become lost in. It takes me back to a time when I would pour myself into a book imagining that I was in the story. I would walk through the vignettes, smiling at faces, talking to the shop owner, eating sticky candy, or running from the butcher. Adam Parsons, illustrator, has done a masterful job of filling the page with stories within stories. I collect children's books that remind me to be young and of my heart. This is one for my collection and I hope yours.
