After seeing her maybe-mobster boss murder a guy, Delaney James assumes a new identity and pretends to be a mail order bride. She finds her groom-to-be living in a town that celebrates Halloween every day. Weird. But not as weird as what she doesn’t know. Her groom-to-be is a 400-year-old vampire.
Hugh Ellingham has only agreed to the arranged set up to make his overbearing grandmother happy. In thirty days, whatever bridezilla shows up at his door will be escorted right back out. His past means love is no longer an option. Not if the woman’s going to have a future. Except he never counted on Delaney and falling in love for real.
Too bad both of them are keeping some mighty big secrets...
Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town where Halloween is celebrated 365 days a year. The tourists think it's all a show: the vampires, the werewolves, the witches, the occasional gargoyle flying through the sky. But the supernaturals populating the town know better.
Living in Nocturne Falls means being yourself. Fangs, fur, and all.

This is such a good book! It wants my heart and made me soooo happy especially the ending! Awwww, it’s relatively pg (like they have sex but it’s not written out so that’s nice). Delaney is an amazing character, she’s tough, sweet, and felt very realistic. She wasn’t a scaredy cat like most mc, and she was pretty funny. AND I LOVED IT WHEN SHE SAID/THOUGHT RANDOM CANDY FACTS. Because that just made me laugh a little and it really showed and felt like she was real. Also Hugh, Hugh, let me tell you, this man- ehem vampire, he can have my babies. What a sweetheart, (even if he is kinda dumb but it is what it is). I’m extremely invested in these character and this whole town. And if I had money I would definitely buy the whole series, but I’m an *extremely* poor student, so that will not be happening *sad face*. I loved how all of the characters seemed to have their own faults, and I really hope the author wrote a book for Sebastian and Julian. Especially Sebastian because I want to murder his wife/ex-wife. And somebody definitely needs to tame Julian’s ways. I’m thoroughly impressed with the author’s inclusive of many different supernatural friends including the obvious, werewolves, witches, and vampires (duh), but also fae, werepanthers, and gargoyles. Like I don’t think I’ve ever read a book with a gargoyle in it, and I’ve read an absurd amount of books. Like more than most libraries (I’ve issues.) Overall extremely impressed, and definitely made me swoon at certain times (I just can’t resist a British accent okay?). I’d say it definitely was more of a chick/light hearted romance, then supernatural. Like you wouldn’t have to know anything about any type of supernatural to get this book. Would recommend 20/10!
From start to finish this book had me turning page after page. It’s funny and romantic and very well written. I can’t wait to read the next book!
At first I was like ehh but when you get down to it it is like awesome It had me on the edge of my seat
