Unfortunately, too much of this book felt like Krentz had plucked sections from her other novels and put them together for this one.
Disappointed
I love Krentz but this new series isn’t up to her usual effort. The suspense falls flat and there isn’t enough character detail or depth. It’s almost as if the focus was on developing the background for the rest of the forecasted books in the series. I expected better especially after Sons of Anson Silias and the wonderful Burning Cove books. I certainly won’t rush for book 2 in this series.
