The Videshi Dilemma

In a world dominated by interstellar corporations and unregulated pursuit of profit, Jonathan is an oddity. As heir to a corporate empire he enjoys the privilege of wealth, but the greed of the wealthy elite sickens him. He's desperate to escape the future mapped out for him.

Jonathan is blackmailed into joining a groundbreaking mission to the secretive Videshi, the only other known spacefaring race. The mission leaders hope to gain access to rare Videshi artifacts and technology. The rewards are incalculable, but success depends on Jonathan's radical perspectives to bridge a communications gulf between the two species. However, they discover that the Videshi world is dying and the entire race faces extinction. This isn't a trade or diplomatic engagement as they supposed, it's a rescue mission. And saving the Videshi will jeopardize the future of humanity.

Jonathan has to navigate the ruthless treachery of corporations and governments, save the Videshi without endangering his own people, and gain his own freedom along the way.
