JJ Virgin Diet Cookbook
Have completed first week on JJ Virgin Diet. I was afraid to weigh because I felt like I had been eating a lot and the recipes are so good. But, guess what? I have lost 11 pounds in the first week. I honestly can't believe it. In the past 4 years, I have tried so many diets and have been so discouraged that I had almost given up. So glad I found this cookbook. I still have 40 pounds to lose, but I really feel I'm going to stick with this way of eating long after I have reached my goal weight. I haven't felt hungry and the recipes are fun to make and there is a lot of variety. I am doing it by myself, so I have been eating the leftovers the next few days, so I haven't had to spend a lot of money. I have also been buying new items every few days to stock my shelves. I went ahead and threw out all 7 foods that I am not supposed to eat. I did eat too much almond butter, so may not buy it again for a while. I do better with eating a few squares of dark chocolate. I found one called Alter Eco/Dark Blackout, 85% cocoa/Kroger. It is very good and satisfies my sweet cravings. I'm going to try to work out more this next week and may have even better results. Although if my weight continues to decrease, I will be satisfied. I was jumping up and down this morning after weighing. I will definitely recommend this diet and cookbook to my friends and family. Oh yeah. I have been drinking a protein shake every morning before work and taking vegetables with hummus with me, drinking lots of water and green tea, nothing else. I also went out for dinner once. Had 1/2 of a lean steak, house salad, broccoli/carrots and took my dressing with me, Champagne Vinegarette dressing recipe is delicious. I just put it in a small container and threw it in my purse. I will write another review next week. Hope this helps someone. Wish someone had told me about this long ago.
