Raise your hand if you’ve ever done this. Written a racy message and sent it to—oops—the wrong person.Yeah, me too. Except, I sent my latest Tales of a Naughty Virgin column detailing my fantasies about my hot, charming, thoroughly bangable next-door-neighbor to…MY ENTIRE COMPANY.
Did I mention I’m a children’s book editor?
Well, I was.
At least the column goes viral, but I’m still the gal who gets fired for her not-safe-for-work thoughts about the so-called “Mister Sexy Pants.”
Now I need a job stat, so I jump on the first opportunity. And I come face to face with my new boss.
Mr. Sexy Pants himself.
Item number one on my to-do list? Make sure my boss never finds out his alter ego…since all of New York knows I want Mister Sexy Pants to punch my virgin club card.
Contents Include: A sexy and clever romp of an MF, dual-POV, mistaken identity romantic comedy, complete with dating mishaps, sizzling sexual tension, a hot nerd of a boss hero, a chaotically delightful heroine, an awkward incident with glitter, and a virgin’s NSFW to-do list.
Charming, flirty rom-com
I dub today National Fall in Love with a Cute, Sexy Rom-Com Day!
The Virgin Next Door was just what I needed. An easy to read, low angst, workplace romantic comedy with a touch of boss/employee forbiddenness and a good amount of steam. I devoured this book in one sitting. I just could not get enough of Veronica and Milo’s chemistry. Between their playful banter and all the “list conquering” these two were undoubtedly perfect for each other.
Milo is all kinds of swoony. I’m pretty sure I fell for him right off the bat. Besides being a dreamy, dog loving, business owner who is good with his hands, Lauren Blakely throws in that he’s a bit of a nerd too. Gah! Be still my beating heart. That’s one of my weaknesses. I live for nerdy heroes.
Of course Veronica also shines. Surprise surprise, another Blakely heroine I've developed a girl crush on. I adored her. She’s smart. She’s witty, She’s always looking out for women and their pleasures. *claps* We love a sex positive women. I liked that we got to see her really find her niche. Find out what she was meant to do.
Lauren Blakely’s books always put a smile on my face. The Virgin Next Door did just that. If you’re in the mood for a charming, sexy rom com with tons of chemistry, compatible characters, great dialogue and a troublemaking cat, you need this book asap.
Instant Chemistry/ Workplace Romance
Milo and Veronica’s meet cute in the short Prequel “Mister Sexy Pants”.
Workplace romance, instant chemistry, fun and flirty banter, plenty of steam, incredible characters and some cute fur babies too.
Veronica Valentine is a children’s book editor who just landed a side job writing an online column as “The Friendly Neighborhood Virgin”. Veronica is a 26 year old Virgin who is completely comfortable with her body and her own needs. Unfortunately she has an email snafu sending a fantasy list staring a certain Mr. sexy pants stranger that she ran into outside her apartment building to her entire publishing company. This results in getting her fired. She needs to find a temporary job while things blow over and you can imagine her surprise when she interviews with her sexy stranger.
Milo Dawson is Mr. sexy pants. He is also the owner of Bikes And Blooms (1/2 bike and 1/2 flower shop). After going through a bad breakup with his ex-girlfriend Milo has been on a relationship hiatus so, he is desperately trying to keep things professional after hiring Veronica.
Immediately sales are up with Veronica’s fun and flirty daily slogans she creates for the shop. The customers are loving her and the advice of extra gifties too. Milo is struggling to be a good boss and keep things professional but that soon changes when he finds out Veronica’s secret and that she’s been writing about him. Their immediate chemistry is off the charts and Veronica is falling hard for the sexy and incredibly sweet man but his hangups from his past relationship may ruin everything.
I cannot wait to read more in this series. This is my honest opinion, freely given.
Such a fun and flirty read.
This one is so much fun. I absolutely loved Milo and Veronica’s banter so witty and flirty. Their chemistry is on fire. Definitely worth the read.
