This ebook is a serious “First Contact” story.

Three visitors arrive on the Earth. They come as refugees fleeing from some conflict. They seem both strange and familiar at the same time, and certainly harmless, so of course we welcome them. Behind Earth’s welcome lie various intentions of people and politicians. There are hidden agendas, plots and plans.

But also behind the visitors friendly exteriors and seemly helplessness there are layers of deadly intelligence and deceit.

This ebook can be considered like as an updated H.G. Wells “War of the Words” - but presented in modern times and as a psychological thriller. Readers who read H.G. Wells’ masterpiece know that Wells’ Martians would be no match for modern earth weaponry, but this book is set in modern times and therefore our modern earthen technology becomes an essential part of the plot.

The story is set in New Zealand and the United States. Much of the story is as seen through the eyes of a young newspaper reporter.
