The Waking World

Em Matte is a betwixt, a person who lives two lives. In one, she's a normal girl, living in south Louisiana. In the other, she's a dream guardian, protecting humanity from the threat of mara, shapeshifting creatures that prey on people when they sleep. When her lives begin to blend together, though, it will pose a danger to everyone she knows and loves.
