Essential Reading
Although the two pages feel somewhat rushed and awkward, this issue, the final to feature Rick Grimes alive, is a absolute must-read for longtime fans of the comic. It does a tremendous job showing what the late Rick Grimes meant to his son, as well as everyone he’s come to know since the very first issue.

Rick’s Legacy
It felt like a kick to the groin to see Rick go out like he did but I did enjoy Carl’s actions during this chapter. He realizes in order to preserve his fathers dream he had to swallow his hate and not kill Sebastian. I love how Carl shows a mix of Rick and Negan when talking to Sebastian in the cell. Only reason I say Negan is his farewell saying, “ta ta”.
