Publisher Description

Over the last four decades, America has witnessed a profound change in marriage and gender relations--for the worse. And while there are definitely a handful of reasons for the fractured family unit, the most significant phenomenon to rupture marriage was feminism. In the span of a few short decades, the movement managed to demote its men from respected providers and protectors of the family to superfluous buffoons.
To a large segment of the population, the idea that men can be victims at all is preposterous. Everyone knows there's more work to be done for women to achieve so-called equality. Everyone knows the patriarchy is alive and well.
But Americans have been had.
Feminism isn't about equal rights, nor is it about providing women with choices. I don't care how pretty feminists package their agenda--the mission is clear: Feminism is a war on men.
ItÆs time to say what no one else will: the sexual revolution was a disaster. Modern men have no respect for modern women and vice versa. Marriage has turned into a competition rather than a partnership. Dating is defunct and any reference to gender differences it met with skepticism or outright derision. Post-feminist America thinks males and females are virtually identical. We've become genderless.
To end the war on men, women must stop clamoring for something we already have--and have had for quite some time: equality. They must adopt the mantra equal, but different. Men and women have been equally blessed with amazing and unique qualities that each brings to the table.
Isn't it time we stopped fussing about who brought what and just enjoy the feast?

A great truth

It is true that some women truly understand the myths about being a feminist and choose not to be one. It is also true that some women do not. Until women choose to go back to their "roots" and remember that they are women and mothers first the battle will continue and men will continue to become more passive and not attracted to marriage as such. The men who believe they can become the mother at home are just letting themselves in for heartbreak and trouble. The divorce rate is skyrocketing in the United States for just this reason.
Women want to have it all, home, children, career and money and it is causing more problems than can be imagined.
Some women can have it all, that is true, but it takes a lot of work for both partners and it works when they remember to put "family" and home life first, not second or third. That means remembering why you got married to begin with. You love this other person more than you love yourself, and want to build a family and a life together. You did not marry them to "change" them, to make them more presentable to your co-workers or superiors or family. Women are created to love and nurture children and families, and men were created to defend and protect their families. Now it is upside down and everyone, including the children are confused.
I liked this book because it tells it like it is, and how to begin to resolve these issues. It should be required reading for every high school and/or college student in the United States.
Lets get back to women being women and men being men. I kind of like it that way.

Frustrating.

I purchased this book to be enlightened as to the ways of being feminine and my husband can feel like a man. It's funny, people assume you know what this or that it will come naturally to you. I want my dollar back.
