Solid, action-filled yet credible to those who have served
This is my 2nd box set & I’m looking for more.
The “cast of characters” on Zeb’s team jump out as REAL to those of us who have been blessed to have at least rubbed elbows with those one these teams. Fast paced... with appropriate time for reflection to put the scenario into context. Mr Patterson is a hell of a story-teller... keep up the good work.
The inter-ship semaphore flag salute in the Navy for a “job well done” is “Bravo Zulu.” This series & Zeb Carter has earned its “BZ”... USN (retired)
Warrior Series is addicting
I read all 8 books in this series. High paced and full of action. I really enjoyed the read.
I wish it was written better
While there are some things to like in this series, the clumsiness and inaccuracies were as annoying as an elbow to the eye.
When I read "all were special forces except Broker who was a Ranger," I thought: aren't Rangers considered special forces? I doubted myself, so I looked it up on Wikipedia. Yes, Rangers are special forces. Sentences were often poorly crafted and required multiple readings to interpret their meaning. Sometimes logic was unnecessarily tossed aside. I have a hard time believing that you can stand next to a window that can survive a bullet from an assault rifle or survive the 300 mile per hour wind of an f5 tornado, yet you can hear snowflakes dusting it.
I think a good editor could have made this an entirely different reading experience. As it currently stands, don't expect to be transported into a land of wonder through this author's text.
