The Weight of Blood

The note from author mentioned some reviews thought it too dark, understandable, given the atrocities committed by the main characters. I feel it gives depth to the story that sets it apart from others. To see them on a path that may lead to redemption even after those events is compelling. I've done many things others and myself have found disgraceful, yet found away to offer and make amends. It's a look into the making of the villain (or hero) I've not seen before.

Decent book

I've read a whole lot of fantasy books in my life. This is a decent book, but not at the upper echelon of fantasy stories. The relationship between the Orc brothers is way too similar to the the relationship between Caramon & Raistlin <sp> of the Dragonlance series and without the level of character development of Weis & Hickman.

Great Read

I found this book to be extremely engaging. I am not really into fantasy novels, but this book had me hooked. I finished it in two nights!
