The Well-Dressed Neanderthal

The origin of the species is not what we were led to believe.

We arrived on Earth 30,000 years ago. The Neanderthals were the dominant species then, but the Empty Ones we created liquidated them. Over millennia, the memory of that genocide faded, and truth became myth as we descended into barbarism.  

Yet some of us didn't forget. And we have battled the Empty Ones for thousands of years. They were nearly defeated, then an archaeological dig team found a technologically advanced instrument on the prehistoric remains of a Neanderthal man. The archaeologists were baffled. But we knew exactly what it was. And so did the Empty Ones.  

The Well-Dressed Neanderthal is a cosmic retelling of the Cain and Abel story, blending Genesis, Norse mythology, quantum mechanics, a kidnapped ex-naval aviator, a slacker chick, a mischievous Yorkshire Terrier, and an ethereal little girl into a complex stew, spiced with a forbidden attraction between a troubled FBI Agent and a beautiful woman with an earth-shattering secret.
