Charley was the first woman to vote in America (as a man). Her grave lies in Watsonville, California.

Loved The Whip!
Fantastic - can't believe it is based on a true story. Charlie is a one in a million character. Living close to where the book is set brought a deeper appreciation for the terrain she conquered. A must read!
The Whip
Awesome story! I couldn't put it down. The plot was full of action and conflict revolving around the main character who is truly unique and one who you can't help but open your heart to. It was well written and easy to visualize. I loved that it was lengthy enough to fill your appetite as well. I highly recommend this novel!
A Great Read
I certainly wanted to read the book slowly, make the book last throughout my musical tour of Europe this month, but the truth is, I couldn’t put it down. I’ll have to start another Kardazian book. Charley is one of the most intriguing characters I’ve ever encountered.
