It was okay
The first volume was definitely better. She turned from a smart protagonist into someone who goes head first into things without thinking how it would affect everyone around her. She jumped right into a battle as a cat??? And no skills other than her spirits who were put into danger because of her. She’s also extremely dense as she sleeps in the same bed as the king, gets hand fed by him and he makes sure she is always by his side and yet she believes he doesn’t like her. So she keeps insisting that she needs to find a husband. I really like the characters that surround her because they seem a lot smarter than she is.
Why?
I enjoyed the premise of this story, even if the writing was average, but then comes the ridiculous politics. The character who is a feminine dude attracted to other dudes keeps being referred to like he’s part of a group when he’s a single person. That was bothersome enough, but then this guy insists that he remain in the room while the female lead is changing, despite her protests.
