The will and wisdom within man

Human beings, as the image of God, can only realize their true heavenly potential through the harmonious and reciprocal interplay of love (will) and wisdom (reason), in the likeness of divine unity. Just as the marriage between a man and a woman must bear fruit—a new life—so too does the inner marriage of the human being, between the instinct and the understanding of the soul, serve the conception of the new human being: a heavenly being, flooded with the love and wisdom of God, who elevates the human soul from the animal level to that of an angel.
