Erasmus is a pirate looking to change the government and himself as well. Mary and Ann are pirate captains looking to gain more tangible power. Verklompen is a creature that does not belong in their world. Bringo is simultaneously sane and insane. Can these people work together for the good of all the citizens of the countries of Ranas and Voorn?
This is a story of pirates who try to become respectable, but who try to become politicians in the process. It is fantasy without the ubiquitous dwarves, dragons, and orcs. It has cross-dressing, medical experimentation, and even love. It also has a narrator who has a problem staying out of the way.
The Windowless Hut is not the next Great American Novel, but you will get to see pirates change their ways, maybe.
