She’s his mate, but can he protect her?
The Wolf and his Forbidden Witch is the second book set within the White Mountain Shifters series. The romance stands alone, but there is an overarching storyline that’s best read in order. Tensions are too tight between Grayson’s pack and their neighboring pack, so he calls in a mediator. Aurora comes in ready for discussions, but doesn’t expect her attraction to Grayson. She’s his mate, a witch, and forbidden, but can he protect her?
One of my favorite parts about this book is that the storyline from the first book continues to this book, and it flows really well! I loved the parts that Grayson and Aurora play in the story, plus knowing that their attraction and budding relationship is forbidden was a really fun aspect of the storyline, too! I don’t often read about mates that shouldn’t mate, or that would need to wait, so that was refreshing for me! Aurora was patient and tried so hard to do the right thing. I loved that her passion was with helping others find positive direction, so I really enjoyed when she let herself dream about her own future and what she wanted. Grayson is known as the calm and collected one, especially being pack beta, but I loved that his mate just brought restlessness and turmoil to his life. They had a fun dynamic and some good steam! The background tensions are getting pretty intense, so I am really excited to see what the next book will bring and hopefully find a solid conclusion!
