Publisher Description
USA Today bestselling author Stacy Reid’s addictive tale of two lost people who are found…by each other
London is buzzing with the news that James Winters, the Duke of Wulverton—thought lost at sea a decade ago—survived in the harsh wilderness of the Yukon. Now he’s been returned to his family, his responsibilities, and a nightmarish world of artifice and noise. He has three weeks to become a refined, elegant duke for the Queen…or doom the entire family to ruin and scandal.
Promising psychologist Jules Southby knows a lot about disguises. She’s secretly been living as a boy since birth, enjoying the freedoms of men and knowing little about how to behave like a woman. When she meets the alluring duke, she’s unprepared for his raw, masculine beauty and icy intelligence…or that he can see through her darkest secret.
Jules has very little time to transform the duke into a true semblance of an English gentleman. Yet his very presence seems to unravel her in every way. Their attraction is stark and achingly real—and forbidden. But loving the lost duke would mean losing every sacrifice she’s made to earn her freedom…

4.5 Stars!!
4.5 Stars! Loved this book! Stacy Reid is such an amazingly talented author, you can NOT go wrong with one of her books! This book reminded me a bit of Tarzan. The main character are Jules/Wildflower & James/Wolfe/The Duke and they had great chemistry, I loved their banter and seeing the trust grow between them.
I wasn’t crazy with how the ending wrapped up so fast. I would’ve liked more on how it all came to be and the Dukes family’s reaction to the HEA ending. Would’ve liked to know more about what the Duke went through when he was lost in the Yukon, or more on how he was rescued. A longer epilogue would’ve been great.
Can I just say - I am so glad we don’t still follow the strict rules they used to follow back then, especially for women?! Why were they so scared of letting women go to university? Or having fun with friends - unchaperoned?! I’m not even going to get started on the unfairness of the 1800’s towards women.
Lying, a strong female character, secrets, torment, death, loneliness, trust, smooching, ‘sexy times’, family, deception, obligations, forbidden romance, love, happiness, and a HEA ending. Such a fantastic read! Highly recommended!

5 star read!
One of my favorite books. Ever. This author did her research for this book on some very deep, complicated and in depth subjects. So much passion, connection, romance, sadness and humor. Her best book imo. You feel such a connection to the characters and the emotion comes through the book. Can’t wait to read it again and again.
Unfortunately Unsatisfied
The book was very wordy the author felt they had to explain every single emotion and thought the main characters had, from multiple angles. Multiple times. I never felt the magic between the characters I was told many times how strong their connection was but i never felt it. I was looking forward to finding out how he survived all those years alone in such a harsh climate but just being told that the wolves took him in was a bit lazy since this detail was a big factor in my decision to read this book. Lastly but importantly I should not be able to tell which political party the author strongly supports. Many of the buzz words and phrases were peppered throughout the book. When I choose a romance book I want to escape all the blame game we are constantly bombarded with on the news and social media.
