Sentient robots, known as dolls, star in this thriller by Matthew Gold, the first volume in a series known as The Academy. A chance meeting with FBI agent Dexter entangles him in her complex web of lies, deception and murder. What he learns during his search for a missing person who ran away to the Academy - the same secret training center that forged Rebecca - could reveal the truth of the dolls and forever change civilization. Only Rebecca and her organization can protect the public from the dangerous truth.
