Brand strategist Mariah Benoit needs a convincing girlfriend for one very inconvenient professional weekend. Architectural photographer Thea Grant needs help landing the biggest contract of her career.

The solution should be simple: fake the relationship, help each other, and walk away afterward.

But somewhere between rehearsed affection and very real chemistry, their carefully defined arrangement becomes something neither woman planned.

Now Mariah must learn that uncertainty isn’t the same as instability—and Thea must decide whether keeping every future open is worth leaving Mariah out of it.
