Captivating Autobiography
Over 3 volumes, the author describes, in amazingly minute detail, the story of his life in pre-war Yugoslavia, the occupation years, the ascendency of the new communist regime, taking a PhD in Chemistry, emigrating to Canada and then the US, and raising a family in the NY region.
The scope of the work is impressive and the ability to recollect some of the smallest of memories gives this account a vivid life of its own. It's an incredibly compelling read.
