Harrie Irving Hancock was an American chemist and writer of children's literature in the late 19th-20th centuries. A prolific author was also known as a successful journalist and wrote for the New York Journal. Being a talented and sensitive person Hancock wrote fantastic stories for the young generation. The Young Engineers series of book is consisted of five titles originally published by the Henry Altemus Company between 1912 and 1920. A final phantom title, "The Young Engineers in the Land of Lead" was advertised but never published. “The Young Engineers in Nevada» is the third book of five in "The Young Engineers" series. The characters started off in The Grammer School Boys Series as members of Dick and Company. Main heroes - Tom and Harry go mining in Nevada and we are pulling to the exiting life stories together with young people from now!
