The bestselling Old Lady series finally delivers its own version of the original, classic song: THERE WAS AN OLD LADY WHO SWALLOWED A FLY!It's the Old Lady as you've never seen her before! Now she's swallowing animals from the classic story...to create a home full of lovable pets! With rhyming text and hilarious illustrations, this is the original song young readers know and love with a wacky twist. The perfect story to read all year long!
Colandro and Lee have collaborated on no fewer than a dozen books featuring this voracious elderly woman, and in this outing she starts off by gulping down a live turkey: "I don't know why she swallowed the turkey," Colandro writes, "but she's always been quirky." (Truer words.) Lee captures the mounting chaos in scraggly illustrations that show the woman swallowing a football, boat, horn of plenty, and more the perfect assortment, it turns out, to create an impromptu parade, once everything has been disgorged, of course. The rhymes are far from smooth, but the events are so preposterous that readers in the midst of laugh attacks are unlikely to care. Ages 4 6.
Perhaps she’ll die?
Nope. Not today. This old lady has to live another day so she can continue to swallow all sorts of strange objects and living things and then vomit them up 🤮 at the end of each story.
You’re just going to have to check out the other books to see what I mean. 🤦🏻♂️
Too Stupid! But I lived!
Why did the author make a book about stupidity!?🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 U know what , The old lady definitely needs to die!
I used to read this story to my daughter every night it was a great story and yet our PC world has butchered it, it is no longer the story it was how sad....😔
