These Signs

When in Bible School preparing for Christian service, the words of the closing verses of Mark chapter 16 caused the author serious heart-searching. In verse 15 the Lord Jesus stated:

 

“He that believeth and is baptised shall be saved ... and these signs shall follow them that believe.”

 

Well Ernest Streets was a believer. He really did know the Saviour, and he had been baptized. However, these signs were not following him, and neither were they following any of the rest of the class in college! So, what was the problem? Was it a problem with them? Or a problem in understanding or misapplying the passage?

 

In this publication, the author takes the reader on a personal journey and to the conclusion he reached as to why the signs did not follow him.
