Eric Stewart’s long-awaited autobiography explores an interactive musical history: from his musical beginnings, to the early years of the Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders, to the Mindbenders, to the days of 10cc, Eric reflects on it all, and most importantly, why he does the things he does: For Love.

What a fantastic ride!
10cc have been part of the soundtrack of my life since I first heard “Deceptive Bends” in the 1970s and then went on to discover all that 10cc—and its respective members—had to offer. Stewart explores that rich history and its meaning for his own life in a delightful telling that is probably about the best we can hope for from an artist who apparently didn’t keep a diary and has so much to cover.
It looks as if this book was published by Stewart himself. If that’s actually the case, I have to give him a huge thank you! It feels like this was truly a labor of love, and I deeply appreciate it.
As another reviewer has stated, it’s not formatted ideally for iBooks, but it is not flawed or “broken” in any way; it’s simply different. And there’s a wonderful assortment of photos, links, and even embedded video.
It’s also very well written. And while I’d have liked a lot more detail about his studios and those early recording sessions, most readers will probably be glad Stewart never lingers too long on technical details and simply gets on with the story.
If you’re a fan of Stewart and 10cc, this book is highly recommended.
Beware - not in normal iBook format
I love Eric’s writing but somebody (publisher? Apple?) Really screwed up. It basically appears like a bunch of PDF pages, almost unusable/ unreadable on iPhone.
