Thinking Outside the Box

This policy brief sets out to unpack energy security in light of contemporary developments in the energy landscape, both in Europe and globally. It argues that nation state-centric framing of energy security is not the way forward. With China, India, and a lengthy list of other formerly poor countries now online as major energy consumers and importers, more global coordination and less securitization is needed.
