You can’t stop the future.

You can’t rewind the past.
The only way to learn the secret . . . is to press play.

Clay Jensen returns home from school to find a strange package with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers several cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker—his classmate and crush—who committed suicide two weeks earlier. Hannah's voice tells him that there are thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Clay is one of them. If he listens, he'll find out why.

Clay spends the night crisscrossing his town with Hannah as his guide. He becomes a firsthand witness to Hannah's pain, and as he follows Hannah’s recorded words throughout his town, what he discovers changes his life forever.

Amazing

This book really makes you think about life. It also makes you think about your actions directed towards others. I feel like I've been changed for the better. Definitely a must read book!

Thirteen Reasons Why.

I'm 15 years old. I don't usually read books. But, my friend recommended this book to me, and I decided to read it. This book hit home for me in many ways, my friend committed suicide 3 years ago. He didn't leave a note or something like Hannah did in the book, but I still made the connection. My friend was bullied a lot in school. We all in some way tried to help, but he was always sure he could do it alone. But after a while it all became too much for him and he decided to commit suicide. The day before he seemed back to himself, but little did all of us know he had made his mind up finally. And he was at peace with his decision. None of us expected to find out what we did the next day. We all realized we could have tried harder to help him then we did. Just like Clay in the book realized. I cried a lot while reading this book. But in some way this book put me at peace with his death. And I want to thank the author Jay Asher for that. This books is amazing. It is a must read for everyone.
