Courtney Bishop is as sugary sweet as her famous blueberry muffins.
Southern belle at heart, Cali girl by choice.
She barged into my life and easily became my best friend. All was great as roommates and just friends, but then I fell for the girl who could chop firewood, deliver baby calves, and bail hay without breaking a sweat. She’s the perfect mixture of sugar and spice, and I love her.
Being more than friends and trying to build our future isn't as easy as it sounds. Moving forward and creating memories is all I want for us, but when the past continues to come back and haunt me, I'm not so sure she’ll stay for the ride.
Loving her is easy, but losing her will break me. Burning passion combined with an undeniable chemistry constantly pushes and pulls us together. In the end, I'll prove we’re worth the fight, even when the game is far from over.
This is book 2 in the Drew & Courtney duet and must be read in order. Suggested for mature readers only.
I really liked this story, was it as good as part 1? No but something I’m starting to realize about this writer is her style. Everything was very similar to Viola & Travis story. Regardless it is a very good read.
What a way to end book two!!!
Okay, first of all the shocking cliffhanger at the end of book one and the jaw dropping first chapter of book two was pretty much shocking to say the least to begin book two?!? It was like a slow motion train wreck without any brakes ready to happen when you at least expected?!! I literally had to force myself to read the entire IBook because I wanted to find out how Drew and Courtney find their way to each other against incredible obstacles ahead and between them?!? I admit Drew and Courtney had plenty of hot sex together and found love with one another despite of the being constantly stalked by Drew’s crazy ex-girlfriend?!! I swear this book series could’ve turned into a soap opera miniseries streaming on any platforms like Hulu or something like that. But I doubt the steamy sex situations described in the books wouldn’t be shown because it’s explicitly hot to handle to watch that could make every woman blush very much?!?😬
I read the “Him” series first. I now know all about the Bishop brothers. Yet, in every Bishop brothers tale, the mention of Courtney, Drew, and their fiery love story just kept making me wonder how they got together? Little did I know that it would be within another great series that Courtney’s love story would be found! Thank you Kennedy Fox for, in a round about, fantastic journey way, you’ve filled in the gaps, and made me feel like I’ve been a true part of the Bishop family. Well done! Checkmate!
