New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Samantha Chase crafts a tender, hopeful family-centered romance
She knows him by reputation
Riley Shaughnessy knew that to stand out in his large family, he'd have to go big. Making a name for himself as a musician wasn’t easy, but he followed his dreams to rock-star success. But the relentless expectations of fans is not helping the slump he's in now. So of course the person who attracts him is the woman who is not impressed by fame.
Which gives Riley Shaughnessy a lot to prove
Entertainment reporter Savannah Daly is completely unfazed by pretty-boy rock stars. She’s just here to get her interview and write her story. But spending an entire month with the Shaughnessys is going to show Savannah a side of Riley she never could have guessed.

“The return of the Shaughnessy family is a welcome event.” —RT Book Reviews, 4 Stars
In Chase's fourth Shaughnessy Brothers contemporary (after Always My Girl), a rock star gets his mojo back with the help of a sexy journalist. Riley Shaughnessy is having trouble finishing an album his first solo project and his record label has lost all patience. In return for extra time, he agrees to be interviewed for Rock the World magazine. Reporter Savannah Daly is not happy when her boss demands she take the assignment. She initially thinks Riley will be shallow and self-absorbed like all the other celebrities she's encountered, but while spending a month in North Carolina with the lively and endearing Shaughnessys, she discovers his rock star image is all smoke and mirrors. He appreciates that she treats him like a "normal man," and soon Savannah becomes Riley's muse. Their connection strengthens, and he sees a future with her as long as they can get past the secret she doesn't even realize she's keeping. With seasoned characters, plenty of humor, and tastefully implied sex scenes (which will appeal to those who prefer less heat), Chase has crafted another successful love match that readers will embrace.

Sweet, Entertaining & Sexy!
Fantastic Story! Samantha Chase outdid herself with this one. I was unable to put this piece of perfection down. This had it all, the angst, sweetness, explosive chemistry, the forbidden element, and raw sexiness. This story made me laugh, cry, swoon and I didn’t want it to end. I fell hard and fast for this story. Samantha Chase has a way with words, like a great artist has with paint, she creates a world that I love to visit, and sometimes would love to live in as I found myself with this story. This Captivated me and had me swooning!
Riley Shaughnessy is not only a rock star but a genuinely caring, nice, sweet and sexy guy. For the first time in his life he is wowed by a woman, one who isn’t just sex, or another person wanting a piece of him, and he can’t fight his desire for Savannah Daly who has turned his world upside down in the short time since he met her. He finally had a perk to doing the interview his label was forcing on him.
Savannah Daly is a writer for the music magazine, Rock The World, she has been assigned to do a multi edition piece on Riley Shaughnessy and has an all access month long pass, to work with him. But she only sees Riley as a pretty boy rock star that got lucky. She didn’t like him and didn’t want to do this piece. But how would she survive a month, if just one touch of his hand and one lingering smile practically stole her breath away. He knew how to schmooze and work the crowds and it rubbed her the wrong way, she knew it had to be an act, but she was hoping she was wrong.
Samantha Chase manages to bring you right into the scene with these characters. Her descriptive use of language makes a scene very realistic and the emotions the characters are feeling believable. I love when the word can fade away and I’m pulled into another time and place absorbed in it. That is exactly how I felt while reading this. So heartfelt, sexy and extremely laugh out loud funny. A light entertaining read packed with Hotness! I loved every word and couldn’t put it down. Highly Recommended!
I voluntarily requested and agreed to post an honest review of this Advance Reader copy of this book that I was gifted through NetGalley.
Oh, the feels you will feel! The tears started, for me, on page 2 and came full circle to the end. I've been waiting to read Riley's story and I loved every minute of it, even if I did want to smack both he and Savannah a time or two. She's stubborn, he's very insecure, especially for a rock star. There's some hard feelings and some butting of heads, but ultimately they are exactly what the other needs.
The overlapping theme to all Ms. Chase's Shaughnessy books is love; of family and of couples. Coming from a musical family, with our own special affinity to Riley and his mom's song, I felt this story in my mind and in my heart. I really don't want to give anything away, but I think this book will hold a special place in your heart, too.
