My workday began like any other: nonstop calls, deadlines to be met, and constant demands. As I was drowning in all my paperwork, my cell phone rang; it was my son. I immediately thought to ignore the call, assuming it was something trivial, but instead, gave in and answered. Nothing in a million years could have prepared me for the things that would transpire in those short minutes. I could hear my oldest son's voice shaking and begging me to come home, all the while my daughter screaming and crying as my youngest son was also shouting words over them all. I was finally able to decipher what was going on. There was an accident in the house, and my daughter was on fire.
