Publisher Description

A fascinating collection of writings from the great polymath of the Italian Renaissaince, Leonardo da Vinci. There are sections covering the great man's thoughts on life, art and science. Maurice Baring trawled the available manuscripts to distil da Vinci's writings on these subjects into a single, accessible tome, which will be of interest to students of da Vinci, the Renaissance and the history of both art and science.

Amazing

This book is truly amazing. A perfect read for any struggling artists, architects, and designers of any sort. Actually, it's a perfect read for any human that cherishes knowledge and progression of all humanity. The topics in this book are just as relevant to today's society, as the rules of nature will always be.

There is only one troubling paragraph, does Da Vinci say he destroyed ten recently deceased bodies to determine how to properly draw human veins? His explicit description of that was wrenching to my stomach, but other than that part his writings in this book are hugely inspiring for any endeavor.
