Good story overall. But the ton of the last quarter doesn’t really match the tone of the first three quarters. We go from innocent blue stocking and prudish noble, to brazen no longer so innocent young woman and go for it earl. Idk. And the side stuff with Tilly and Rutherford is also a bit sodden. It just didn’t feel like it lead into the events of the last quarter very well. Instead of developing, the story jumped. Considering it’s length, I consider this quote the feat. But overall, it’s an interesting story, if a bit drawn out.
Very Verbose
The longest ‘romance’ I’ve read in sometime. Not really certain why I finished it. The femme fatale’s character evolution was weird. From quirky innocent to tiring wench….
Three abductions and a earl
Long book. Well maybe not to long but sure seemed liked it. Had some really good parts in it. However, Too much stuff between the main characters with other people that distracts you from Adley’s and Lydia’s story. Not much romance in it until almost the very end.
