Grace is determined to save her errant young husband, Valentine Labeau – from himself, from his baser nature, from the drink. A charming guitar-player and singer, he’s a flawed man but a wonderful father to their children. Cheerful and feisty, Grace dedicates her tenacious love to Valentine’s entire troubled family.

But hardships pile upon losses and sorrows. And Grace is only a woman, after all, not a saint and not an angel.
