Publisher Description
This book features a selection of mezzotint prints produced by Australian printmaker Terence Barrett during the last thirty years. It includes a brief description of the the mezzotint technique and its development since its invention by German Ludwig Von Siegen in 1642. Because the mezzotint technique is very labour intensive, only a small percentage of printmakers now use it as their preferred medium.
