The first story, "Tense" is about a boy who brought a girl into the woods with him under the guise of safety but ends up getting lost as the evening approaches.
The second story "After Death" is about a teenage girl who is present as a ghost during her funeral. She agreed to be a spectator as her funeral progresses before the Black Knight comes to take her away. Before she leaves, she hints at details of those responsible for her untimely death, which stems from a series of events of being bullied at school.
The third story, "Three-fifths of a Blank Canvas," is about James, who has a phone conversation with his sister, Elizabeth. They are the late grandchildren of a man who was a part of the art heist of March 18. James has been working on making a replica of a stolen painting stolen during the heist to reveal it as the original.
The fourth and final story, "The Secret in His Car" is about a teenage boy named Christian who sneaks out on a drive with his friend Jason to reveal a family secret. Enclosed in a hidden department of his car are a few relics connected to the murders of two girls who died decades ago, which strengthens the dark bond between them.
