The 1960’s was a post-war peaceful decade of pyschedelia, op art, mini-skirts, The Beatles, and the notoriously publicised sex scandal of Government Minister, Lord Profumo/ . . . These extraordinary events all coincided in over 15 peaceful years after the 2nd World War in 1945, when both allied covert services of the U.S and the USSR were rendered almost static/ . . . Also, the famous onset of ‘flower-power’ contrasted sharply with first time Space exploration, when both Major Powers entered into a new emerging sub-world of licentious technology to claim the First Manned Lunar Landing, so commissioning both services back into action/ . . . Operatives abroad now faced a sudden domino effect of shifting loyalties and friendships, both within their own ranks and on opposing sides, since from such long assimilation, their families had shared BOTH side’s weddings, birthdays, and socials, in fact there was very little else . . . - BUT SUDDENLY YOU NO LONGER KNEW WHO WERE YOUR FRIENDS - AND WHO WERE NOT!
