Publisher Description

Nelson Lee was kidnapped, along with many others, by the Comanche Indian tribes during the 1800s. His personal narrative, which draws from that experience, is nothing short of remarkable.

Three Years Among the Comanche

So much for the poor mistreated Indians. The treatment of their slaves ( principally white women and children) and their unbelievably cruel way of putting their enemies to death removes the quilt for the subsequent massacres that occurred in retribution. I now understand why the Texas Ranges pursued the Comanche Nation so enthusiastically to its final end on the reservation. The book is old,the fonts are almost illegible in a few places, but it has the absolute ring of truth in its pages. I also think better of the movie "The Seekers" after reading it.
