Please don’t spend $ on this!!!

This was so awful. I read to about one third of the book and just couldn’t read it anymore. We have to stop elevating the abuse of women and glorify rapists. The main male character sexually assaults the female protagonist repeatedly. He disrobes Her while she is unconscious. He threatens her with being sexually assaulted by him if she doesn’t talk to him. In a scene where his kisses forced clearly without her consent she slapped him. The author correctly called this an “assault upon her lips” but then describes how she is aroused by being degraded. When she defends herself by slapping him he threatens to kill her. He then gets advice from Sparrow that he should rape her and in this we learn that he is in fact a rapist and has encouraged “many reluctant thighs to open”. We are somehow to think because he hasn’t assaulted her with penetration that he is honorable. We need to stop spending money literature that glorifies our abuse!
