Publisher Description
My childhood best friend is a big, bad biker—and an animal in the bedroom.
I should know because we’ve been hooking up in secret for weeks.
We crossed a line we swore we’d never cross, but the lust we’d buried for years finally culminated in a night of heated passion.
I know the taste of Duke’s lips, but this is more than just desire. When we’re together I see the promise of forever in his eyes.
Duke is the only man who makes me feel safe enough to be vulnerable, but I’m terrified I’m going to screw it up and lose it all.
He won’t stop until he has every piece of me, including my heart. He wants me on the back of his bike, my name inked on his skin.
He wants me to be his Old Lady.
He wants me pregnant.

Thrust and Throttle
Steamy, hot, and mysterious!
I loved it, but…
4.5/5
Friends to lovers is not my favorite trope. It generally feels cheesy, forced, and weird. But set against Waco and Emma Slate’s Blue Angels MC, it’s bearable.
I loved the sisterly dynamics between Willa and Waverly. That was probably my favorite relationship of the whole book. Don’t get me wrong, I love Duke and I liked his and Willa’s relationship despite my dislike for the trope, but the sisterly bond between Waverly and Willa was special and made the book for me.
I love the Blue Angels world and I’m just gonna come out and say it - I love it more than the Sins world (glad that’s finally off my desk). I love Emma’s writing. But the ending twist came out of nowhere. And it threw me. I knew something was coming because what story/book is just relationship angst? I didn’t care for it and thought it came out of left field and therefore didn’t make sense. Then I sat with it for a few and realized something. That’s how it happens in the real world. There generally isn’t any foreshadowing to it, it just happens randomly. So I see it now for the brilliance that it was.
Normally Emma’s books are automatic five stars, but even though I loved the book, friends to lovers just isn’t my cup of tea. Her writing is impeccable as always and the steamy scenes were definitely steamy, but this trope just isn’t for me

I really enjoyed this book. Great story line, strong characters. Can’t wait to read more of this author.
