Under the guiding tide of marine ecologist Nalia and her spirited crab companion Ripple, two curious friends—Kai and Zeph—embark on a hands-on journey through Silverstrand’s intertidal zone. Equipped with waterproof notebooks and a salinity tester, they catalog barnacles, anemones, and starfish; delve into kelp forests and sand-dwelling microfauna; and learn how oyster reefs guard shorelines from erosion. When heavy rains dilute salinity, they discover freshwater’s ripple effects. By campfire light, they weave food chains connecting plankton to shorebirds and, back in their classroom, build a working tide-simulator aquarium. Tidal Zone Explorers blend playful discovery with scientific inquiry to inspire young guardians of coastal ecosystems.
