Publisher Description
Court intrigue complicates things for the new heir to the Shifter Throne.
I'm the Shifter Heir. I never thought I'd say those words, but now it's irrefutable. I won the Shifter Trials and now my mother has to recognise me as her heir.
But things aren't as they seem in the Shifter Court. And keeping up with my studies while trying to stay on top of my duties is harder than I thought it was going to be.
And that's without throwing Magnus into the mix. He's a complication I don't think I'll ever be ready for.
But now I know fated mates aren't real, maybe I should give in to what he's suggesting...

The heir
Now the official heir Kayra is overburdened with her academics and her seemingly endless and pointless monarchy duties. When her mother throws a suitor at her and claims he’s her fated mate even though that’s not a thing she gets beyond fed up. It’s like her mother is deliberately trying to sabotage her. Kayra’s eyes are blown wide open when she discovers the depth of unsavory actions her mother participates in. It strengthens her resolve. Things need to change and she is going to be the instrument of it no matter what she has to do.
Excellent story. Really enjoying the mix of academy and royal court antics. Can’t wait to see how this comes to a conclusion.
