Detective Danny Rohan is a brash hot-head with his own way of getting the job done, which often lands him in trouble with the powers that be – but he doesn't seem to care. After a run-in with Intergalactic Internal Affairs, he's sent as punishment to the Saturn sector to guard the mining colony on Titan. His job couldn't be more boring, until a strange Jane Doe appears, seemingly out of nowhere, and wanders onto the base, with unexplained burns on her arms and legs. Jane can't remember anything—except the name, Danny Rohan.

Danny's investigation discovers Jane's DNA can't be found in any data bank, on-world or off, leaving him certain there's more to this case than meets the eye. He works with Jane to untangle the delicate threads of her memory, but two new visitors to the mining colony have more sinister plans. Danny has to figure out Jane's story before a chain of events set in motion a war that threatens the galaxy. Fortunately for Jane, Danny never gives up without a fight.

This story is the prequel to the Cleansed series. If you love Firefly and Serenity, with Outlander's time travel to change history thrown in, this series is for you.
