Willa Doon has always been shy. Her quiet demeanor was something she’s always embraced. That is, until Jackson Page moves to town. The one man she desperately wants to take notice struggles to remember her name.
Year after year, Willa stands by, watching as the bartender slash playboy drowns his demons in beer and sex. Then one night, he shows up at her door, suddenly aware that the girl he’s seen around Lark Cove is now a beautiful woman.
Except what he doesn’t remember is that this visit isn’t his first. They spent a night together once before. A night he’s forgotten, thanks to a bottle of tequila.
A night that crushed a timid girl’s heart, and set a broken man on the path to heal them both.

Willa has been in love with Jackson for years and years. “Jackson and Willa. Willa and Jackson. Our names went together like peanut butter and jelly.” She just needs to get him to notice her.
Jackson is a broken soul, drowning his sorrows in all the wrong things. A sweet girl like Willa isn’t even on his radar. But one night with stolen kisses changes everything…at least for Willa. Jackson doesn’t even remember what was the best night of Willa’s life.
I loved Jackson from the very beginning. He gave off total bad boy vibes who didn’t care what the world thought. And you knew he had demons. Who doesn’t love a bad boy?
Willa was sweet and shy, not ever standing up for herself. But when Jackson forgot all about their amazing night under the stars, Willa had enough. I was cheering so loud when she finally stood up for herself!
“Do you have any idea how long I’d been waiting for you to notice me? How many times I’d walked into the bar and wished you’d finally just see me? Then you did and I was so happy. And then you forgot.”
Reading their story play out was wonderful and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. They both had problems, and they both needed each other.
“I think what’s important is finding a person who makes you better.”
I absolutely loved Jackson and Willa! Jackson is the bartender and Willa runs the summer camp. She is shy and has been secretly in love with Jackson since he came to town when she was 17 and he was 22. Will Jackson ever notice the timid Willa before it is too late? This book will keep you turning the pages into the wee hours of the night! Devney, your writing just keeps getting better and better! 5 amazing stars

This lady can write such beautiful story. And this time was no exception. Love Willa and Jackson.
Willa Doon had a crush on Jackson Page ever since she was 17 and he came crashing in to Lark Cove.
But Jackson never noticed her and been calling her the wrong name..till one day. One day he saw a portrait that woke him up and made him notice and suddenly she was all he can think of.
This book so beautiful. Willa was such a strong heroine. You would expect that such a timid woman would be so strong. Loved that!
Jackson..I wanted to slap him one time, but I understood that he didn’t know how to love and he redeemed himself quickly (thanks to Willa, the fighter).
If you haven’t read Devney Perry’s books yet, I suggest you to go immediately and start doing so.
She’s one of the best contemporary romance author these days in my opinion.
