No promises. No expectations. No names. That’s what Emmett Stone agreed to with the woman who caught his eye two months ago. After years of drama following the end of his motorcycle club, a no-strings fling with a mystery woman is exactly what he needs. Except as they find themselves together more and more, it’s impossible for him to keep his feelings at bay. She’s clever and sassy. She’s gracious and kind. She loves riding on the back of his bike every Saturday afternoon and lazing in his bed every Sunday morning. She’s the perfect woman.
Except she’s Nova Talbot, the daughter of his archenemy—the man who murdered his father.
Her identity will cost her the man who’s captured her heart unless she can convince Emmett her feelings are true.
Before he learns the reason she proposed their fling in the first place.
On and on
I found myself taking breaks from this book - odd, when I was really enjoying this series.
Then I realized, I just did not want this world of the Tin Gypsies to end.
True brotherhood, bonding and love. Will be revisiting these books in my mind for quite a while. Thanks, Devney Perry!
A Queen and Her Ace
I have been waiting to read Emmett Stone's book since the first book in this series, and I'm pretty sure that I am not alone. Emmett has always come across as all swagger and sex, the guy who, along with Leo Winter, his partner in crime, is the quintessential good time guy. And at first glance, the Emmett of TIN QUEEN, the sixth and final book (*cries*) in the Tin Gypsy series by Devney Perry, there's no reason to think much differently. Or is there?
Because, along the way, throughout the course of these books, there've been hints, nuances of change, and of a depth to Emmett, as well as the rest of the Gypsies, that wasn't obvious at first. Life is moving along, with his brothers finding love and making the changes in their lives that come along with that. And Emmett is evolving, too, as the things that used to be important become less so.
Enter June "Nova" Johnson. She knows who Emmett is, and she has her own agenda, one that is certain to shake things up in Emmett's world, and that of his friends. Driven by vengeance, the last thing that Nova is looking for is a happily ever after, and she's determined that the Gypsies won't have one, either. If only life worked out the way that we expected...
Devney's flawless storytelling makes TIN QUEEN a book that I could absolutely not put down. The characters, their personal stories, the love that they have for their families that make them who they are, has ensured that the Tin Gypsies series is an all-time favorite, and one that I could visit again and again. I have said with each of these books that it was my "new favorite," and it has always been true. But, I'm going to have to say that Emmett, well, Emmett has my heart. The obstacles that he and Nova overcome in their journey had me loving him more with each page. I wasn't quite sure that things were going to be resolved the way that I was hoping, and, in all honesty, I was prepared for the worst. Suffice to say that I was crying happy tears by the end, and bless Devney for epilogues and bonus stories, because they rounded everything out perfectly. A 5+ star read for me in every way, TIN QUEEN is an easy recommendation, and one that I will keep on making. If you haven't read this series, you are definitely missing out. Do yourself a favor and dive in. You will absolutely fall in love. ❤️
The Perfect End
I have read all the books in this series and feel a little sad that this is the final one. But, oh what a story. I especially liked all the previous characters appearing and catching up with their lives.
Nova Talbot is on a mission. Raised in a family with a Mom, brother and sister, but with a dad who was hardly there. Tucker Talbot’s heart belonged to the Arrowhead Warriors, his motorcycle club. Her sister Shelby had a good life, husband and child and a custom cake design business. She hated her father. As the years went by, Nova finished law school as an estate lawyer, but she never gave up loving her dad . Now she’s on a mission to get revenge on the people that put her father in jail. The Tin Gypsies, and Emmet Stone is in her sights.
After an encounter with Emmet at the local bar, and a long night of hot sex, she figured she was in. She believed “ Emmet Stone would be the key to the Tin Gypsies downfall.” Little did she know how quickly he would creep under her skin and into her heart. She became almost a family member with all the Gypsies and their wives and children and started doubting her mission. A lot of secrets and lies start to unravel her loyalty to her father started crumbling.
Suspense, questionable loyalty friends and family and lots of sexy times. This book was the perfect ending to a series I will miss.
