APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
You won’t want to put down this anthology of compassionate and honest advice. Cheryl Strayed, author of the best-selling memoir Wild, wrote an anonymous online-advice column for the cult literary magazine The Rumpus from 2010 to 2012 under the pseudonym Sugar. This collection of her most emotionally raw and deeply insightful columns includes six entries that have never been read before. Empathetic and unguarded, Strayed fearlessly digs into her own life in response to readers’ questions about various personal problems that range from relatable to heartbreaking. We were moved by her story about her mother’s death in relation to a query about pursuing love, and surprised when she responds to a woman wondering how to deal with her feckless baby daddy by discussing the toxic effects her own father had on her life. You’ll love the wisdom and empathy of Tiny Beautiful Things.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Strayed (Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Coast Trail), in this collection of advice (some previously unpublished) for readers of her column "Dear Sugar" on therumpus.net, chooses thought-provoking questions from her readers and listens deeply to their emotional content. In casually intimate prose (to a struggling writer: "dear sweet arrogant beautiful crazy tortured talented rising star glowbug") and literary grace, she creates moments of wise, compassionate insight in often startlingly personal miniature memoirs, cradling gentle but practical guidance with enough humor to cement Strayed's presence as both a mentor and the most understanding of friends. Sugar can be tough and honest (to the same struggling writer: "buried beneath all the anxiety and sorrow and fear and self-loathing , there's arrogance at its core"), but she's never mean: in Sugar's world, we all deserve love unconditionally, but also owe it to ourselves to act in the world to be the best, most authentic selves that we can be. For a regrounding in the beauty of what it means to be flawed and gorgeously human, for answers that feel real whether we've been able to ask the right question, Strayed's caring little essays offer surprisingly rich comfort.

Oof
Hard to read. Impossible to put down.
Great, but don't buy on ebook
This book is amazing and everyone should own a copy. I'm going to be giving it as gifts for years to come. Cheryl Strayed is such an insightful, caring writer.
That said, I didn't want to take a star away, but this version has many pages duplicated in a row, and then subsequent pages missing. I recommend buying the print version. Disappointing for Random House. I really wish I hadn't bought the ebook version from iTunes.
Give one to everyone you know
My favorite book of all time.
