Publisher Description
Have you ever known you needed to talk to someone about God but felt completely inadequate? Do you have more questions about God than answers? Have you stopped questioning altogether?
In a chess match, tipping your king onto its side represents voluntary surrender. This is the true story of two colliding world views, and their unavoidable evolution. Jack Crabtree—a recent college grad—is just dipping his toes into theology, when he meets Nick Chapman—a brilliant Philosophy Ph.D. (and childhood chess champion) who is searching for truth and meaning.
As Jack and Nick dialogue about some of life's most fundamental questions, they discover they each have a few kings of their own to tip. Perhaps you will as well. You might even become a believer in the truth that God can use anyone to reach anyone—even you.

Excellent and challenging
A rigorously questioning Ph.D. philosophy prof meets a scrupulously honest recent college grad, and they talk, and chat, and email, and one of them achieves an ultimate understanding of his true place in the scheme of things.
This is a great story, with the impact of C.S. Lewis's 'Mere Christianity.'
Those who have questioned and rejected Christianity, on the basis of 'reason,' will find here a philosophical discussion that they might have always wished for. Here it is; come and get it.
Challenged to see opportunities, not impossibilities
Great read which reminded me that the Lord is shown mighty THROUGH our weaknesses - and that He IS faithful to provide everything we need to accomplish what He directs us to do. I appreciated the author's honesty when faced with a challenge beyond himself as he tried to justify "not getting involved", as I have done the same. Through obedience, he and Nick both experienced God Almighty. This book will be a great resource for truth-seekers with unanswered questions as well.
