Have and to hold by Heidi Renee Mason
Quick easy read mystery. Very light storyline. Definitely has no Mommy porn if that what you’re looking for.
A bit bland
I can’t quite put my finger on it, but there’s something about the author’s style that reads very dull. The scenes have a lot of wordy description, repetitive sentence patterns, and little emotion. The dialogue is generic and lacks personality. Emma is a generic busy nice mom, but I don’t know what Liam does when he isn’t drinking coffee, cooking dinner, or sleeping chastely beside his girlfriend.
Without spoiling the ending, I will say that it doesn’t make sense. Character X was stalking Character Y for months with vague threats in order to elicit information about something Character X later reveals that they already knew about.
This has the potential to be a good story and the grammar and spelling are pretty much faultless. My opinion is that it needs some revisions with feedback before it’s really “ready.”
To Have and to Hold
This type of ending for a book is self serving and I won’t read her books! Do not continue a story without stating that in the beginning!
