Rising historical romance star Anna Bradley returns to Scotland with the latest installment in her fan-favorite Regency romance series, sure to appeal to fans of New York Times bestselling authors Lynsay Sands, Hannah Howell and Karen Hawkins…
A single lady of birth, beauty, and large fortune should not have this much trouble making a match. Yet after two failed betrothals, Lady Juliana Bernard is in a bind. She must find a husband at once or lose guardianship of her beloved niece. Her childhood friend, the Duke of Blackmore, is her last, best hope. But once she tracks him down in Scotland, she receives startling news: the duke is already engaged.
There is one other option. The duke’s scandalous brother, Logan, Laird of Clan Kinross, is to blame for the mix-up. The least he can do is marry her to make amends. Wooing does not go well at first. But just as Juliana begins to welcome the boisterous but tenderhearted Scot into her life (and her bed), secrets come between them once more. And it will take a determined husband indeed to ensure that a marriage begun in haste leads not to heartache . . . but to love.

Loved It!
Swoon Worthy! Characters that will touch your heart and soul with a romance that will leave you breathless. But I was also taken by the research and history of this time period that Ms. Bradley included in this story, making it so realistic and giving the reader a true sense of what travesties happened, and how it affected the Clans in Scotland.
Enthralled from the first page this story pulled me in with a story that is steeped in history and a realistic dislike of anything English by the Scottish Clans after what they have witnessed and endured.
I swooned hard for Logan, Laird of Clan Kinross. Logan will do anything he has to do, to protect his clan and they respect and love him for all that he does for them. But soon his identical twin brother Fitzwilliam who has been raised in England his entire life will be coming and he will not let even his brother destroy his Clan.
Lady Juliana Bernard, is beside herself. she must be married in order to get custody of her niece Grace. She travels hundreds of miles when Fitzwilliam doesn’t reply to her letters. They have been betrothed since birth and she needs him now. But when she sees a man that looks just like him, when they stop for the night, she follows him to find Fitzwilliam. But her betrothed now belongs to another and Logan is responsible for it all.
Logan and Lady Juliana interactions are exhilarating, deliciously romantic, dreamy and seductive. These characters are perfect for each other. A true masterpiece, that was exhilarating, with writing so truly beautiful that it will stays with you long after you put this book down.
I received an early copy of this book through NetGalley.
